However it later grabbed a negative meaning.

The symbol itself was designed by Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, where letter A stands for anarchy and O for order. But now, not many people understand what this symbol really stands for as the ruling classes from the 18th and 19th centuries, enforced the negative idea behind it.

  • I didn’t know that about the A and the O in the Anarchy symbol. I also think Anarchy is a load of crap. Just like all the other ism’s that involve the opposite of Anarchy and that’s despotism. Despotism is the lovechild of Anarchy. When/if a society/country actually practices Anarchy eventually a despotic government will emerge because there will be too much chaos. Human societies that are successful – Like Constitutional Representative Republics (Ancient Greece & Rome both had one, not so much the Constitution part) are successful because of how humans react to fair governance. We see a despotic regime in North Korea where I can imagine there is more human misery and suffering than just about anywhere on earth at any given time. And we aren’t talking a few or even a few thousand. Hundreds of thousands barely existing. This world is idiotic.
