Throughout the history people always have tried to explained why things are the way they are. Interesting to admit when it comes to facts, people think more like lawyers than scientists, which means they ‘cherry pick’ the facts and studies that back up what they already believe to be true. People like the kind of certainty you can get when somethings backed up with the science. Scientific answers are not always comforting, but they are rather definite. However, there are actually many things that cannot be proven using the scientific method yet.
Things are different in the sense that the religious and spiritual communities are much more open to information and evidence that help us to understand the true nature of reality. Many religious and spiritual teachings are actually being recognised and confirmed by science, and that is evident by the list below.
1. Human souls can live after death
The idea that human consciousness lives on after death has been put forward by a number of well-respected scientists.
British scientist at the forefront of the eerie theory claims that humans have souls which don’t die along with the body. We many not know exactly what consciousness is, but physicist Sir Roger Penrose believes that it’s just a packet of information stored at a quantum – or sub-atomic – level. Sensationally, he claims to have found evidence that this information, which is stored in microtubules within human cells, leaves the body after a person dies. Sir Roger has argued that when a person dies temporarily, this quantum information is released into the universe, only to return to the body’s cells if the host is brought back to life.
Some experts suggest that our physical universe is just a perception, and that once our bodies die there is an infinite life beyond.
Dr Jim Tucker suggests that our souls can live on after death, meaning that we can be reincarnated and live again after our bodies die. According to his theory the consciousness is released into the universe after death, and the soul can then find a new host after the original one dies.
2. Time is an illusion
We are born, time passes and we die. So time must exist, right? The trouble is, it’s tricky to pin down what time actually is.
Time is actually relative, and flexible and, according to Albert Einstein himself, “the dividing line between past, present, and future is an illusion”.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology physicist Max Tegmark said: “We can portray our reality as either a three-dimensional place where stuff happens over time, or as a four-dimensional place where nothing happens [‘block universe’] — and if it really is the second picture, then change really is an illusion, because there’s nothing that’s changing; it’s all just there — past, present, future.
“So life is like a movie, and space-time is like the DVD,” he added; “there’s nothing about the DVD itself that is changing in any way, even though there’s all this drama unfolding in the movie. We have the illusion, at any given moment, that the past already happened and the future doesn’t yet exist, and that things are changing. But all I’m ever aware of is my brain state right now. The only reason I feel like I have a past is that my brain contains memories.”
3. Our thoughts shape the reality
“Targeting your thoughts – or what scientists refer to as “Intention” appeared to produce an energy potent enough to change physical reality. A simple thought seemed to have the power to change our world”
– Lynne McTaggart, The Intention Experiment
This basically boils down to The Law of Attraction. Thought power is the key to creating your reality. Everything you perceive in the physical world has its origin in the invisible, inner world of your thoughts and beliefs. To become the master of your destiny, you must learn how to control the nature of your dominant, habitual thoughts – such as controlling your worries and negativity. Worrying is simply wasting time and energy manifesting things you don’t want. By controlling your thoughts, you will be able to attract the things in life you actually want.
Through the 1990’s, Dr. Masaru Emoto performed a series of experiments observing the physical effect of words, prayers, music and environment on the crystalline structure of water. Emoto hired photographers to take pictures of water after being exposed to the different variables and subsequently frozen so that they would form crystalline structures. The results were nothing short of remarkable.
4. We are spiritual beings on a human journey
“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Most of us have heard these words from the French philosopher, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. And for most of us, there is something about this idea that resonates at a very primordial level. Something in us knows, deep in the gut or the heart, perhaps at an unconscious level, that we are made of more than just the sum total of our thoughts, feelings and the life situation that we are living at the moment. We have a sense of being larger or more infinite than just our little “me.” And for most of us, the idea that we humans are vaster than just finite and personal egos feels relieving, even if we can’t quite access the knowing of it directly.
There is so much more that is buried beneath the level of our consciousness that we struggle to explain because we don’t have a full scientific understanding of it yet, nor do we have an easy way to access it at will. (Intuition, deja vu, ESP, etc) But, that doesn’t mean those things aren’t real. Like any skill or physical ability, you just have to do some research and put what you’ve learned into practice to develop them.
5. Everything is energy vibrating at a certain frequency
“Everything in Life is Vibration” – Albert Einstein
The Law of Vibration states that everything in the Universe moves and vibrates – everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything you see around you is vibrating at one frequency or another, and so are you. However, your frequency is different from other things in the universe and that´s why it seems like you are separated from what you see around you; people, animals, plants, trees and so on.
In truth you are not separated – you are in fact living in an ocean of energy – as we all are. We are all connected at the lowest level – a level professor John Hagelin calls The Unified Field.
Everything has its own vibrational frequency – the table – the car – the picture frame – the rock – even our thoughts and feelings. It is all governed by The Law of Vibration.
Our thoughts are on a certain vibrational frequency and hence is part of the vibrating universe. The Law of Attraction, which is based on The Law of Vibration, states that we attract what we are sending out. Hence positive energies attract positive energies and negative energies attract negative energies.
Our thoughts are cosmic waves of energy that penetrate all time and space. Thought is the most potent vibration – so this means you can attract to you what you want and wish for.
