Everything that is made beautiful and fair and lovely
is made for the eye of one who sees.

Human eyes are one of the most fascinating and complex parts of the body. We don’t give our eyes as much attention as we should until something goes wrong or when the vision is affected.
We have collected few important facts you may find interesting:
1. Blinking
The muscle that control blinking movement is the fastest in the human body. Did you know that average adults tend to blink once every 5 seconds, which adds up to an exhausting 6,5 million times a year.
2. Blind spot
Each of your eyes has a small blind spot in the back of the retina where the optic nerve attaches. You don’t notice the hole in your vision because your eyes work together to fill in each other’s blind spot.
3. Drinking
The eye colour can be an indicator of how well you handle alcohol beverages. A study from Georgia University shows the people with lighter eye colour (blue, green, grey or hazel) took their drink beer that people with darker eyes colour.
4. Political leanings
It is difficult to believe but you can tell someones’s political view from their gaze. People that lean to the left of the political spectrum will follow ‘eye cues’ more readily than conservatives. Be aware, if you are chatting with liberal, it is most likely they will trace your gaze should your eyes stray from theirs.
5. Flirting
Eye contact during flirting can take a variety of different forms including the long gaze that signals romantic or sexual desires, or staring into someone’s eyes for a few seconds then breaking eye contact to look them up and down or at a particular part of their body and then back in their eyes.
6. Lying
If you want make sure somebody is telling truth you need to look into their eyes. If they look upwards and slightly to your left, then it is most likely you are hearing lies. If somebody is just recalling the information, they eyes will be looking completely other way.
7. Focusing
It’s crazy how much the focusing muscle of the eye gets done. On an average, this spectacular muscle of the human eye moves about 1000,000 times every single day. If that doesn’t blow your mind, let’s put it in perspective. For your leg muscles to get the same kind of workout, you would have to walk 50 miles, every day.
