There are cities which are great to explore on foot or bicycle, but there are some which give the best views from the skies, that’s why helicopter tour would be the best choice:
Rio de Janeiro. The iconic city gives the best views from any height, covering magnificent Copacabana beach and the famous Cristo Redentor statue on Corcovado mountain. Plus, the largest soccer stadium where the current Olympics take place. You may choose the tours either from Sugar Loaf or Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon Helipads and can enjoy one hour flight above the most scenic views culminating in the most recognizable Art Deco statue in the rainforest.
London. It is fun and breathtaking to watch the city views from the top of St Paul’s dome or the London eye, but flying above the River Thames on a bright yellow G-OKRI takes traveling on a totally different level. The usual helicopter tour covers the city center and such picturesque places as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace to Canary Wharf.
Hong Kong. If you enjoyed watching the city from the window seat in the cozy China Clipper Lounge on the 30th floor, for sure you will enjoy the view from inside an MD902 helicopter, which starts its journey from hotel’s twin helipad, flying over Hong Kong skyscrapers, glimmering bays and forested peaks.
Los Angeles. The helicopters are usually reserved for police and chase reporters who keep flying around the city in search of the news or a crime. Orbic Air will offer you a usual 15-25 minute flight from Burbank Airport and will show you the close ups of Hollywood sign and of course the tops of celebrity houses.
Sydney. The world famous Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge are best seen from the Rosehill Helicopter, which offer excursions into the state’s rugged Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands. One of the best tours is the Hunter Valley Pub Tour, which is a seven hour journey into one of the most picturesque wine producing regions.
