Many of us think of baking soda as an ingredient used for cooking, or even something that helps to keep our refrigerators odor-free, but baking soda is surprisingly good for your health and home, too!
Baking soda is very reasonable and great cleaning agent. It is crystalline, but most often you can find it as a powder. Among the valuable soda’s properties are antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory.
In addition, baking soda is a potent medical agent which uses vary from basic daily hygiene, injuries, digestive issues, stomach pain, coughs and sore throats. It has the ability to regulate and neutralize the pH level. This multitasking ingredient can also be very helpful in taking care of your hair, skin, and body.
Remove stuck on grease and residue.
If you tend to reuse the spaghetti jars, the only thing that might be in your way is the stickiness after label is off. But by adding a touch of baking soda into the pot and letting it boil for half an hour will totally remove the sticky residue and the label. Once the jars cool down, give them a fast wash and they are ready to be used again.
Clean fruit and veggies.
Baking soda is a great agent for cleaning the food as well. Just add a sprinkle of baking soda on top of the fruit, use the brush and lots of water for a thorough cleaning.
If you plan to exfoliate your lips, baking soda is what you need. Make your own lip balm by reusing the old tub and filling it up with baking soda and honey. This scrub will make your lips absolutely soft and gentle.

If you use nail polish on regular basis, you can notice that your nails are getting yellowish. To make them white again mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. In case you miss your favorite window cleaner, you can make one by yourself. Mix baking soda, lemon juice and a touch of water. Fill up the spray bottle and start the cleaning.
Refresh stuffed animals.
To remove the dust and old smell from the stuffed animals you need to do a simple trick: put the toys in one big plastic bag, add baking soda on top and shake it vigorously. Once done vacuum off the leftovers from the soda and dust.
Refresh your dishwasher.
If you notice that your dishwasher has a weird smell, just add a bit of baking side on the bottom and let it stay there for a night. Make it run in the morning and your dishwasher will spark again.
