8 Tips On How To Balance Your Chakras

What are Chakras?

Chakras are points where the energetic and physical bodies meet. Imagine Chakras like wheels constantly in motion. If these wheels are “stuck,” energy cannot move and we might feel out of whack. Located in the subtle body, there are hundreds of Chakras, although the primary seven from the Muladhara system are where the most focus is given.

These main seven chakras are:

  • Root – base of spine – Muladhara – red
  • Sacral – below the naval – Svadisthana – orange
  • Solar Plexus – above navel – Manipura — yellow
  • Heart – heart, center of chest – Anahata — green
  • Throat – throat – Visuddha —blue
  • 3rd eye — at forehead between the eyes — Ajna — indigo
  • Crown— top of head — Sahasrara — violet

Why is Chakra balancing important?

It impacts all areas of our life. It is believed that Chakras are both transmitters and receptors, meaning the frequency at which we emit energy will match the frequency of what we receive in our life. When they are balanced, they are operating at the highest frequency and will attract people, abundance, and opportunities that we have labeled as high frequency.

How to balance your Chakras

1 – Try sound healing  – Singing Bowls

Singing Bowls can help balance the Chakra energy system. When singing bowls are played, and particular sound frequencies are projected into a dis-eased area, correct harmonic patterns can be restored.

Scientific studies show that sound can produce changes in the autonomic, immune, endocrine and neuropeptide systems. Dis-harmony within the body can be restructured by sound.

2 – Do a Chakra color meditation

Each chakra is associated with a certain colour. So another way to balance a blocked chakra is by meditating on each chakra and imagining its colour radiating from its center.

3 – Practice Chakra-balancing chants

Using chakra mantras or chants during meditation can have a very powerful effect.

Chakra mantras help us to clear our energy pathways so we can thrive, not just survive — allowing us to make the most of our physical life experience, creating positive physical, emotional, mental and spiritual change.

4 – Wear Chakra jewellery

Chakra jewellery may also be able to help. In fact, each Chakra has a corresponding mineral or crystal with its own energetic resonance.

When our energy and the energy of the crystal works together, that energy can open clogged Chakras.

5 – Check your Chakras with Pendulum

Pendulums are quite simple tools that help us detect our energetic field. They are tuned to subtle vibrations and a good chakra pendulum can help us clear, balance and heal our bodies. 6 – Use a Healing wand

Healing wands come in many shapes and sizes – and are made of a variety of materials. Many are cylindrical and may or may not be faceted. Often healing wands have a rounded end and a pointed end, though sometimes both ends are rounded or both ends are pointed. Better to use natural crystal and stone wands to take advantage of the stone’s natural energetic qualities.


Healing wand can be used to cleanse and unblock Chakras. To do this, the practitioner should start at the feet and move the way up the body with the wand, pausing when sensing a blockage. When a blockage is detected, the negative energy must be drawn out and then replaced with positive energy.

7 – Practise yoga poses

Certain yoga poses (asanas) can help activate each of the Chakras, ultimately cleansing the chakras for a healthy flow of subtle energy.

8 – Use Essential oils 

Essential oils also resonate at a particular frequency and can be used to balance chakras. They can be applied directly or by inhaling.
