A nifty technique of taking pictures was revealed by an amateur photographer, who made awesome images by using nothing else but puddles and a smartphone. Guido Gutierrez Ruiz, a 27-year-old photographer from Canada captures breathtaking, reflecting parallel worlds shown in the puddles right after the rain.
He said: ‘It all started when I was standing on the street waiting to cross when I noticed a puddle right below me with the reflection of a cloud, and I had the curiosity to see what would happen if I put my camera close to the puddle and capture its hidden parallel world.’
The amateur has never studied photography but was always fond of taking pictures. It has never been a big hobby for him until he opened his Instagram account and started making shots using his Google Nexus 5. No other professional cameras or equipment. Since that time, Ruiz who currently resides in Madrid has around 28, 000 followers.
One of the advices from Ruiz says that the best time for taking pictures is in the rain. These images are proof that it can lead to eye-catching imagery, displaying capturing shots in the puddles. Ruiz keeps traveling around a world, making images which people seem to adore. When talking about his inspirations, he said: ‘The world of tourism itself is my true inspiration, making me want to travel the world and capture it with different perspectives.
‘Many companies dedicated to inspiring travel such as Conde Nast Traveler are also one of my favourite sources.’
