The year of 2016 was full with enjoyable movies, quite few really good bombs and a whole load of movies demanding a new look. The movies lovers are already excited to see what 2017 has prepared for them.
Here is the list of the most expectable movies in the upcoming year, from adventurous to sequels. Get ready for the big movie night next year:
1. The Lego Batman Movie
Bruce Wayne must not only deal with the criminals of Gotham City, but also the responsibility of raising a boy he adopted.
2. Beauty and the Beast
It goes without saying that one of the most exciting things about 2017 is the live-action Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. The trailer showcases several of the magical household objects, from Lumiere to Mrs. Potts, and it even teases a longer glimpse of that ~iconic~ ballroom scene – and, of course, Belle’s gold dress.
3. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Marvel’s Spiderman movie is set to reboot the franchise and bring the iconic Marvel character into The Avengers team. We will see the first appearance of Spider-man in Captain America: Civil War and he’ll be wearing two suits.
Why two suits? Rumor has it, in the beginning of the movie Peter Parker is supposed to be dawning a homemade suit, and by the end of the film Tony Stark will be handing him the iconic red and blue suit we all know and love.
Snatched (originally titled Mother/Daughter) is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Jonathan Levine and written by Amy Schumer, Katie Dippold and Kim Caramele. it promises to be like nothing we’ve ever seen. Plus: the film will be Hawn’s first big screen adventure since 2002.
5. Wonder Woman
An Amazon princess leaves her island home to explore the world and, in doing so, becomes one of the world’s greatest heroes.
Including Harry Styles, who simply can’t be forgotten, Christopher Nolan’s WWII drama has a star-studded cast and the gritty aesthetic that has come to visually cue this chapter of history .
7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
In Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord and his team of misfits continue their adventures as guardians of the galaxy against all-new threatens as their team grows and Peter learns about who his father really is.
The first draft of the script is done, according Director James Gunn, who has said that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will actually have less characters than he did in the first movie. A smaller cast and a more centralized story will be the focus of the Marvel sequel.
8. The Circle
Based on the international best-seller by Dave Eggers, The Circle is a thrilling modern morality tale starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, and John Boyega. As she rises through the ranks of the world’s largest tech and social media company, The Circle, Mae (Watson) is encouraged by company founder Eamon Bailey (Hanks) to live her life with complete transparency. But no one is really safe when everyone is watching.
9. Justice League
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.
10. Star Wars: Episode VIII
If you were excited about this next installment after The Force Awakens, you’re positively giddy after seeing Rogue One (even if they’re unrelated). It’s safe to say you’ll be Star Wars trash for a long, long time.
