This tutorial will show how to craft amusing decorations that resemble the works of Picasso. No carving required on the pumpkin. The only thing you should do is to cut out the facial features from the magazine clippings and decoupage them on the Fun-Kin or a real pumpkin. One of the easiest ways to make a fantastic decoration.
Here is what you need:
2. Pumpkin or Fun-Kit
3. Matte decoupage medium
If you wish to add some 3D parts:
1. Craft glue
2. X-acto knife
Here is what to do:
1. First of all cut out funny facial parts, like eyes, lips, hats, noses and other details from the magazines.
2. Make up the mind on how you would like to arrange the pieces by playing with placing them onto the pumpkin. You can make few variations with a scotch tape, if you want to be sure that the result will make you happy.
3. Apply a thin coat of decoupage medium on the back of each piece and smooth it on the pumpkin surface.
4. The final step is to attach the 3D features, like streaming ponytail or ears. First of all glue the feature to the card stock and cut it out. Cut a tiny slit in the pumpkin and insert the edge of the feature in, securing the top with a touch of glue.
And your Picasso inspired pumpkin decorations is ready either to amuse the trick-or-treaters or to scare them away!
