Brazilian artist Sandra Freitas is a unique designer in the field of patchwork craft, she creates original dyed and painted fabrics with recycled textiles to form fields of structured pattern, vivid beauty, and riotous variation. Patchwork or “pieced work” is basically form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabrics into a larger design.
Sandra’s rich imagination, patience and relevant skills are result of stunning masterpieces reflecting the inner world of the artist and make the viewer aware of her personal values and experience. Her works show everyday life of ordinary people of Brazil, some of them trimmed with hand made laces look very elegant and aesthetic.
