New Ways Of Shirt Printers: Urban Utility Covers

Who would have guessed that you can actually use regular public street fixture as printing elements. This idea came on mind to the Berlin based artist Raubdruckerin, who is a pirate printer and now she produces shirts with manhole covers, utility grates and vents. It might sound weird, but actually the geometric patterns and forms present on the covers of the holes and vents make rather awesome prints for the shirts! The artist applies ink directly on the chosen street art, and prints on site in such cities as Amsterdam, Lisbon and Paris. Later on, she simply sells her masterpieces though the online shop!
