The Russian born artist Yulia Brodskaya expanded the area of painting by presenting her own series of pictures. In her portrays artist shows the emotional and expressive process of aging through painting with paper.
The artist has become popular thanks to using strips of paper, which she rolls into small quills and glues them together into bright and three dimensional designs. In result you can admire expressive faces of aging people.
The portrays are titled as Jade, Topaz and Amethyst and show a rather new method of painting, by packing folded pieces of paper into every single composition.
You will see the amazing effect of mimics along with wrinkles, folds and other details giving perfect effect of true human face expression. The artist found out that her new passion is actually all about the details of paper art. As a former graphic designer she totally changed computer programs and projects for paper art.
Even though it takes more time to show the detailed emotions, Yulia is extremely happy with her work and is going to experiment more to achieve even better results.
