Art and creativity are the things that are just inborn. Every artist is unique and has his/her own exclusive style. Creativity and talent come from within one’s self, and sometimes seems weird to the other people. How would you react looking at a painter who uses vomit or an artist who paints using a basketball? It is incredible and weird, so here is a list of 10 bizarre painters who use very strange techniques you may find hard to believe!
1 – Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen – Paints With Her Hair
Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, the Manila born Danish performance artist, uses her hair by whipping them back and forth, to paint. On a large scale paper, she literally flips her hair back and forth taking the role of a human paint brush.
2 – Millie Brown – Paints With Vomit
This vomit painter creates art by drinking coloured milk and regurgitating it onto a white canvas or even her own dress. She has mastered this art over time and her paintings are apparently worth thousands of dollars.
3 – Hong Yi – Paints With Basketball
This incredible painter decided that, to paint a strikingly detailed portrait of Yao Ming – a basketball player, a basketball would be a more appropriate instrument than a brush.
4 – Vinicius Quesada – Paints With Blood
A talented street artist from Brazil, likes to add a shock value to his artwork, which lead him to create a series ‘Blood Piss Blues’ using blood and urine. He also makes incredibly detailed psychedelic art of violent geishas, smoking monkeys, etc.
5 – The Underwater Painters
A group of Ukrainian artists, dive into the dead sea and paint with waterproof adhesive coated colours and canvas, as they can stay under water for 40 minutes with scuba gears.
6 – Kira Ayn Varszegi – Paints With Her Breast
This exclusive artist uses her 38DD breasts as brushes, to create original paintings by applying oil paint directly to her breasts and pressing them against the canvas. She apparently sells one art piece in 100 dollars and is quite renowned.
7 – Ani K – Paints With Tongue
Ani K paints with his tongue and often suffers from nausea, cramping and headaches. He claimed that the very first time, he had cramps in his body due to the fuming and pungent smell, but till now, he has apparently finished 20 watercolours including a 2.4m (8ft) wide rendering of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
8 – Chris Trueman – Paints With Dead Ants
Trueman used 200,000 dead ants to paint a portrait of his little brother holding a rifle. The artist hated killing the ants needed to complete it, and the painting is fetching him offers of $35,000.
9 – Xiang Chen – Paints By Using His Eye
From the Hunan province of China, this artist with a weird technique attaches a giant paintbrush as big as 4.4 pounds to his eye, by inserting the flat metal end under his eye lids and drags the brush with his eye to paint calligraphy paintings. Additionally, he can also hold a stick in his eyes to pay a piano.
10 – Val Thompson – Paints Using Human Ashes
A few artist have used the remains of their client’s loved ones. One such artist is Val Thompson who uses a little bit of ashes in her paintings to give them a texture. Her first painting was for Anne Kearey who had recently lost her husband, John.
