Architect Miguel Angel Aragones created a real design masterpiece, making an illusion as if a huge bird’s nest is floating on the pool of the Mar Adentro Hotel in Mexico. The restaurant is actually located below the water and is covered with a woven, egg shaped roof, which is crafted from nothing else but twigs.
The name of the restaurant is “Nido”, which is translated into English as a “nest” and is one of the three other restaurants in San Jose del Cabo in Mexico. The design is really astonishing, very nature friendly and looks like a lonely nest floating in the middle of the sea.
The hotel, pool and restaurant are connected with a network of walkways, which create a wonderful promenade, from where you can admire the whole mystery of architecture.
Once you walk inside the restaurant, you will find yourself amidst rather simple interior, with bar tables, chairs and lounges, performed in minimalist style.
The furniture pieces complement the subtle textures and patterns, making the nest look cozy.
