A New Rotating Sculpture of Franz Kafka’s Head Is Featured In Prague

The latest artwork from David Cerny – the twisting and reflecting sculpture depicting the head of famous author Franz Kafka is presented in one of the busiest shopping malls in Prague. You may recognize the work of this artist, as layering objects is his favorite style and Cerny has already did similar rotating monument known as Metalmorphosis.

The huge sculpture consists of 42 independently driven layers of stainless steel which allow the head to move and weighs only 45 tons.

The sculpture is aimed to show Kafka’s tortured personality and eternal doubt.
