Aliens visited the Earth in the Past – How true is this? Do aliens really exist? Well, there is no official proof for the existence of aliens yet.
However, conspiracy theorists suggest that some ancient hieroglyphs and artworks could be proof of possible alien visitation or influence in the remote past. It is believed that the drawings were made by the people of the area recording what they were witnessing. Believers in ancient alien theories say that aliens are depicted through human history, claiming that ET has guided mankind’s evolution.
They point to things such as the mystery still surrounding the building of the pyramids and various other rock drawings as proof that aliens have come to Earth to give our ancestors a helping hand.
Here are ten ancient artworks that could be proof of alien visitation in the distant past.
1 – Rock Drawings in Valcamonica
The drawings in Valcamonica, near to the central Alps in northern Italy, are believed to be 10,000 years old and are part of a collection of more than 200,000 petroglyphs carved into the rocks of the valley. The cryptic drawings, known as petroglyphs, appear to show two men in helmets with strange weapons – proof that ancient astronauts came to Earth, according to some.
The petroglyphs seem to show the strange figures in protective suits, while white lines also seem to be coming from the heads, with some suggesting that it depicts lights built into the helmets.
2 – Sarcophagus lid of the Mayan king Pacal
An important example of ancient UFO art is the sarcophagus lid of the Mayan king Pacal. This venerated king ruled from 603-683 CE. After death, his body was entombed in the extraordinary Temple of Inscriptions at Palenque in the Yucatan Peninsula. A five-ton carved limestone lid sealed his body in the sarcophagus that was hidden deep within his pyramidal temple.
In his 1968 book, Chariots of the Gods, van Däniken proposed that Pacal’s sarcophagus lid holds the key to alien intervention in the past. He inspired millions to see Pacal as an ancient astronaut and his strange ‘throne’ as a mechanical device. Specifically, he compared it to the Mercury rocket used in the first human spaceflight program between 1961 and 1963. The Mercury spacecraft was topped by a small capsule with room for one astronaut. The astronaut stayed in his seat during the flight.
3 – The hieroglyphs in Temple of Seti I
The 3,000-year-old hieroglyphs found in Seti I’s temple in Abydos, Egypt, are said to depict nothing less than a helicopter, plane and futuristic aircraft among the usual insects, symbols and snakes.
The writings have become known as the “Helicopter Hieroglyphs” among pseudoscience and conspiracy circles, with many supporters of the theory saying if the ancient civilisation was putting helicopters and modern spacecraft in their artwork, then they must have seen them, or at least pictures of them.
4 – Winged disk on the relief from the palace of Ashurnasirpal II, King of Assyria
The piece is a wall panel or relief made of alabaster from the palace of Ashurnasirpal II, King of Assyria, in Nimrud in northern Mesopotamia, Iraq, 865-860 B.C. It hung behind his royal throne. The king appears twice in the scene. He wears the royal robe of the gods and kingship and holds a mace in front of a sacred tree. The Mesopotamian god, Ashur/Shamash, hovers above in a feathered or winged disk with a ring in one hand (symbol of sovereignty). He carries a bow. Ashurnasirpal II extends his right hand and points to the winged disk.
Ancient astronaut theory says that Shamash was a flesh and blood extraterrestrial. He is part of a group of gods the Sumerians called Anunnaki. They were led by Enki, who the Sumerians said came to earth to bring knowledge of the after life. Sumerian and Babylonian cylinder seals show Enki in a winged ring similar to Shamash’s.
5 – Ancient artwork in Charama
Some respected historians believe cavemen painted the ancient artwork in Charama, India after meeting extraterrestrials. The puzzling pictures – which date from the time humans invented writing and the wheel – appear to depict eerie humanoid creatures with no facial features in “spacesuits” and flying discs.
Indian archaeologist JR Bhagat said the flying discs – which have three legs and fan-like antenna – resemble UFOs as depicted in modern day films.
According to scientist the paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years.
The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features.
Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits.
All mentioned above is rising again the same question: Have aliens already visited Earth? Was the ancient rock art created by people who witnessed something extraordinary or may be extraterrestrials who guided mankind’s evolution?
